Website
This website will have the daily agenda and any materials used in class. Check the website frequently. If you miss a day of class, use this website to check to see what you have missed. If you stay caught up in class you will be successful, but if you do not do the work, your grade will suffer.Units
Unit 1: Biochemistry
Unit 2: Cell Structure and Function
Unit 3: Photosynthesis and Cell Respiration
Unit 4: Cell Growth and division
Unit 5: Human Body and Homeostasis
Unit 6: DNA Structure and Function and Genetics
Unit 7: Evolution
Unit 8: Ecology
Outside Project
Each semester you will complete and independent project. First semester you will read a variety of science articles and write a CER paragraph for each. Articles and dates will be announced within the semester. Second semester you will choose a topic in Biology and write a research paper about this topic. There will be several dates to check you progress, and you will turn in all parts of the research project as part of the final grade. Not completing the outside work will impact your placement in honors/AP science classes each semester.
